Why We’re Building Intima

A new chapter for intelligence

Artificial intelligence is becoming extraordinarily capable. It can generate, analyze, translate, reason and respond at a scale that would have been difficult to imagine only a few years ago. Yet for most people, the experience still begins and ends with a screen.

We are building Intima because we believe that will change. The next chapter of AI will not be defined only by what intelligence can do. It will be defined by how intelligence enters people’s lives—how it develops continuity, how it expresses itself and how it takes form in products that feel natural to use.

Why Intima exists

Intima is a platform company focused on the infrastructure for embodied AI. Our purpose is to help intelligence move across rapidly evolving models and into digital identities, physical products and branded experiences. In simple terms, we are building the rails that can give intelligence a body.

That work requires a broader perspective than software alone. It requires an understanding of identity and memory, but also of materials, form, manufacturing, customization and the expectations people bring to highly personal products. These disciplines have often developed separately. We see value in bringing them together.

We are building from experience

What Three Decades Taught Us About Trust:
Our conviction is grounded in decades of practical experience creating individualized products at human scale. That history taught us that personalization is not an accessory. When a product is deeply personal, every decision—from form and material to communication and support—shapes the relationship a customer develops with it.
It also taught us that trust is operational. It is earned through clarity, consistency, discretion, quality and the ability to support a product long after a transaction is complete. Those lessons matter as AI becomes more persistent and more present. A system that remembers and adapts must also give people meaningful control over that process.
Our Platform Thesis:
AI models will continue to change quickly. Physical products move on a different timeline. A useful platform must connect those cycles without allowing a product—or a customer’s established identity and preferences—to become obsolete every time a new model appears.
We are therefore designing around flexibility and continuity. Intelligence should be able to improve. Interfaces should be able to change. A customer’s experience should remain recognizable. Over time, the same foundation may support multiple products, forms and brands, each created for a distinct audience but strengthened by common infrastructure.
What Comes Next:
The embodied AI category is still being defined. That is precisely why the infrastructure choices made now are important. The market will need systems that are adaptable enough to incorporate technical progress, disciplined enough to preserve user trust and scalable enough to support a range of experiences.
We are building Intima for that future: a company grounded in the physical world, open to the pace of AI innovation and focused on the connective layer between them. Our ambition is to make intelligence more tangible, personal and present—and to build the platform capable of carrying it forward.
