Intimacy and AI are not going back in the box.

They are becoming more personal, persistent and present in everyday life. They deserve to be developed with rigor, responsibility and respect for the people who will live with them.

Values & Vision

Giving form to fascination is deeply human.

Humans have always made figures of other humans. Cave paintings. Pygmalion. Shunga. Sorayama. The impulse is ancient, and it is not perverse — it is one of the most human things there is: the drive to give form to fascination, to render beauty in permanent material, to build something that makes you look twice.

And humans have always reached for whatever technology their era offered to meet that same need for intimacy and connection. The letter. The telephone. The internet. Each was met, in its moment, with the same suspicion we hear now about what we build. Each became, in time, simply how people lived. AI and physical embodiment are not a break from that history. They are its next chapter.

Our portfolio carries that history forward with a heritage in manufacturing and craftsmanship — engineers who treat intelligence with the same obsessiveness that craftspeople bring to physical form. Not bolted together. Designed together, from the ground up.

That is why we describe what we build plainly: this is intimacy robotics. We believe intimacy and AI are not going back in the box, and we believe that deserves a category leader serious enough to build it properly. That is what our portfolio of companies exists to do.

Building this properly also means building it responsibly. A category this new doesn’t get to define its own limits after the fact. We believe capability has to be matched by restraint — an ongoing responsibility to understand what this technology does to the people who use it, not just what it can do for them.

We also believe the rooms where this technology gets built need more perspectives in them than they currently have. Most of the conversations shaping this industry are happening among people who don’t represent the full range of human desire, identity, or need. We intend to change that — not through performative inclusion, but through who actually sits in the room when decisions about what gets built are made, across every company in our portfolio. If diversity of perspective isn’t built into the infrastructure now, the industry will spend the next decade trying to retrofit it.

We believe curiosity is the most human instinct there is — the urge to ask what something feels like, what it would be like to enter a world you haven’t inhabited yet. Western culture has a long history of treating that curiosity, when it turns intimate, as a problem to be managed. We disagree. We have always disagreed.

When AI develops a body, this is where it arrives.

HOW WE BUILD

Human-Centered

Human-Centered

Intelligence should adapt to people—not require people to communicate like machines.

Model-Flexible

Model-Flexible

Products should advance as AI models improve—not become obsolete with every generation.

Personal by Design

Personal by Design

People should be able to shape how intelligence communicates, behaves and adapts.

Tangible

Tangible

Form, material, voice and movement are part of the intelligence experience.

Continuous

Continuous

Identity, context and memory should persist as an experience moves across interfaces.

Responsible

Responsible

Privacy, consent, transparency and user control must be built into the platform.

Three decades of personalization at human scale.

Our portfolio carries a manufacturing and craftsmanship heritage dating to 1996.

As early as 2018, we were already developing persistent AI relationships designed to maintain personality, remember previous interactions and express themselves through digital and physical interfaces.

What is now described as adaptive identity, persistent memory and expressive interaction is not simply a roadmap. It grows from architecture and product work already developed within our history.

Build intimacy technology with conviction and restraint.

Intima operates across embodied AI and intimacy hardware because we believe both categories deserve serious product thinking.

We build for curiosity rather than shame. We believe adults should be able to explore connection, identity and desire through products created with care, clarity and respect for their agency.

But building without shame does not mean building without limits. This technology enters deeply personal territory. Its development must be matched by transparent controls, responsible governance and an ongoing effort to understand its human effects.

We are here to build the category properly — not to pretend it is not coming.

Intelligence is changing form.

The next generation of AI will be defined not only by what it knows, but by how naturally it can enter the world around us.

We are building the infrastructure to carry it there.
