Building the Rails for Embodied AI

AI is advancing faster than its interfaces

The intelligence layer is moving at extraordinary speed. Models become more capable, efficient and specialized with each generation. Yet most products that use them remain tied to a single provider, interface or moment in time. When the model changes, the experience often has to be rebuilt around it.

Embodied AI needs a different architecture. A physical product may remain in use for years while the intelligence powering it changes many times. It may need to operate across voice, vision, touch, motion and mobile interfaces. It may also need to preserve a user’s preferences and history while moving between those surfaces. The challenge is not merely connecting a model to hardware. It is creating infrastructure that allows intelligence to travel.

The Railway, not the Train

One way to understand the opportunity is to think of a railway. AI models are the trains: powerful, fast-moving and constantly improving. Products, devices and experiences are the destinations. Between them sits the less visible but essential system of rails, signals, stations and standards that makes movement possible.

Intima’s platform thesis is centered on that connective layer. The goal is not to depend on one model or one physical form. It is to establish an architecture through which intelligence can be selected, updated and carried into different products while the user experience remains coherent.

Models are the trains. Products are the destinations. The platform is the railway that lets intelligence move between them.
